Increasing your Pets Chance of Survival and Return

By now, most people have heard of pets being microchipped. In fact it is law in New South Wales and Victoria and at some point in the future legislation will be passed in Queensland.

Pets may go missing if gates or doors are left open or they may escape through boredom, fear or in search of a mate. Attractive and valuable pets may be stolen or nuisance pets may be released by neighbours.

All pets taken to pounds or vet clinics are scanned for the presence of a chip. If chipped, a quick call to the registered owner can inform them that their pet is missing. At The Vets we use chips which can be scanned on any type of scanner.
