AQUADOG TIPS FOR DOG OWNERS

For your dog . . .

LEADS AND COLLARS

	No check or choker chains as these can be dangerous in the pool.
	Nylon or pylene collars and leads are best as they are durable and safe to use.
	If you are a regular visitor to our centre it's a good idea to have a collar just for pool use, 6 foot leads are recommended.
	Collars and leads are available from our centre.

FLOATATION AND LIFE JACKETS

These are available to hire at a cost of $3.00 or you can purchase your own. Our physiotherapists or nurses will advise you if a life jacket is required.

TOILETING

Prior to your pet's visit give your dog an opportunity to go to the toilet.

CLEAN DOGS

	The cleaner the dog the easier it is for our filtration system.
	Hydrobathing facilities are available at the centre at an additional cost.
	Our E-Clear system does not use chlorine or bromine so there is no need to wash your dog after it's swim.
	Dogs with active skin and ear infections shouldn't swim until the infection has cleared.

DRYING

Please bring your own towel to dry your dog off after swimming. Towels are available for hire at a cost of $1.00.

For you . . .

FOOTWEAR

Please wear non slip shoes, NO stillettos or ug boots!

CLOTHING

Although you won't be swimming with your dog be prepared to get a little splashed!

MOBILE PHONES

Please secure your mobile phone or leave it at home. Experience from pools in Melbourne suggests retrieval from the bottom of the pool is not uncommon!

CHILDREN

For safety reasons, children under the age of 13 years of age are not allowed on the pool deck.
